This is a YA political thriller about what it costs to stop performing the life other people expect of you.

Elias Vance has never had a life that belonged to him. As the son of a rising political figure, every part of his life has been part of a script written for him long before he had a say in it.

Tyler Hayes doesn't smile for anyone. Written off by half the town because of a father everyone assumes is guilty, Tyler has learned to expect nothing and trust no one, least of all a politician's son.

When a school assignment forces them into an unlikely partnership, restoring a derelict community centre, neither of them expects to find anything real underneath all that performance and armour. But the summer that starts as an assignment quietly turns into something neither of them is prepared to lose, and a fight for the truth that could take down an entire political empire.

The Boys Who Broke The Script is a YA political thriller wrapped around a slow-burn romance, about class, corruption, and what it costs to stop performing the life other people expect of you.
